How I can help

Mentoring, speaking, or a security question you're stuck on: the door is open. Start with the messages below, then find me anywhere on the information superhighway.

Ask me anything

visitor_96: What do you actually do?
shak:

I help organisations measure and improve their security posture against real-world threats. That means evaluating how effective their security stack really is and turning that into actionable roadmaps. Day to day, I work as a solutions engineer alongside security leadership and hands-on practitioners.

visitor_96: Can you mentor me?
shak:

Yes. I mentor people breaking into cybersecurity and practitioners levelling up. A good place to start is my guide to cybersecurity career paths and the free tools, labs and guides on CyberDesserts, then message me on LinkedIn with where you are now and where you want to get to.

visitor_96: Can you speak at our event?
shak:

I enjoy it: conferences, panels and training sessions on security validation, security posture, disruptive tech and cybersecurity careers. Send the date and audience via LinkedIn.

visitor_96: I'm stuck on something security-related. Can I ask you?
shak:

Do it. I'm open to people connecting and asking for help, and if I'm not the right person, I'll usually know who or what is. The free tools and labs on CyberDesserts are also worth a look: your answer may already be there.

visitor_96: How do I get in touch?
shak:

The reliable route is LinkedIn, or email [email protected] if LinkedIn isn't an option. Always open to connecting with security professionals, tech enthusiasts, leaders, and anyone who wants to learn, or can teach me something new.
